Base Station offline / weak signal
If the Base Station is offline or the signal is weak, remote updates fail or only work in part of the area.
Symptoms
Section titled “Symptoms”- “Offline” / unreachable status in the app
- Timeouts on mass updates
- Only tags near the base respond
- Geographic pattern of failures
Hardware and power checks
Section titled “Hardware and power checks”- Is the base powered? Status light/LED on?
- Network cable / Wi‑Fi ok?
- No recent move of the base or metal shelving?
- Controlled reboot (per procedure) after noting the time
Coverage checks
Section titled “Coverage checks”Follow the checklist in Radio coverage:
- Near / far / corner tests
- Notes on obstacles (cold rooms, warehouses, mezzanines)
- Bluetooth fallback on shadow zones
Operational mitigations
