Update a price (Bluetooth proximity)

Proximity updates use Bluetooth: you bring the phone or computer near the tag to push the new price. Ideal for local changes and quick corrections.

Prerequisites

Section titled “Prerequisites”
  • PriceTag app installed from the official hub
  • Bluetooth on and permissions granted
  • Item/price already set in the catalog
  • Tag powered and mounted

Steps

Section titled “Steps”
  1. In the app, select the item and set the new price.
  2. Start proximity update mode.
  3. Bring the device near the tag.
  4. Wait for confirmation in the app.
  5. Check the tag display (typically within 60–80 seconds).

When to prefer proximity

  • Few tags to correct immediately
  • Zones with weak radio coverage
  • Per-tag verification after installation
  • Fallback if the Base Station is offline

If it does not update

Section titled “If it does not update”
  1. Bluetooth on? Permissions ok?
  2. Are you on the correct store?
  3. Is the price saved in the catalog?
  4. Try another nearby tag (isolate a hardware issue).
