ESL (Electronic Shelf Label)
Section titled “ESL (Electronic Shelf Label)”An electronic shelf label system that replaces paper price tags. With PriceTag you update prices from the app without reprinting.
Tag (ESL label)
Section titled “Tag (ESL label)”The physical device mounted on a gondola/shelf. It shows the price (and other fields defined by the layout). Documented typical characteristics:
- Battery: 7–10 years (with updates that are not especially frequent)
- Protection: IP65 (rain, humidity, splashes — not immersion)
- Update: about 60–80 seconds from software to shelf
- Warranty: 3 years (per commercial terms)
- Two modes: proximity Bluetooth and remote RF via Base Station

Base Station
Section titled “Base Station”In-store radio unit that enables remote updates of tags. One base typically covers up to about 4,000 tags. Required for medium/large layouts or when you do not want to approach every label.

Map (store map)
Section titled “Map (store map)”Digital representation of the store (gondolas, positions, associated tags). From here you can update one price or thousands in a batch. Prepared during the project phase (floor plan / 3D plan).

Proximity update (Bluetooth)
Section titled “Proximity update (Bluetooth)”Mode where you bring the phone/computer near the tag to push the new price. Ideal for local changes, quick corrections, and areas without remote coverage.

Remote update (radio)
Section titled “Remote update (radio)”Mode where the app sends the change and the Base Station reaches the tags over radio, without physical proximity. Ideal for full price lists, mass promotions, and multi-aisle updates.

Catalog / price list
Section titled “Catalog / price list”The set of items and prices managed in the app. The price list drives what is sent to the tags.
Store / location
Section titled “Store / location”A store or site in a multi-location setup. You can control multiple locations from a single screen (product concept; UI details: Multi-location).
Mounts / gondolas
Section titled “Mounts / gondolas”Physical accessories to fix tags to shelves. Sized during the site survey together with tag quantity and Base Station count.
